Job Overview;
TE’s Data and Devices Advanced Development (ADT) team is seeking a Principal Product Development Engineer with deep experience Signal Integrity (SI) analysis and design of high-speed, high-density interconnects. As part of the ADT team, you would not only be responsible for design, simulation analysis, and verification/validation testing of advanced products, but you would also be involved in Research & Development (R&D) of new techniques, such as AI methods, to evaluate design sensitivity to manufacturing tolerances to optimize yield. Importantly, you would also be expected to complete modeling and simulation exercises to understand potential new signaling schemes and architectures for extending aggregate bandwidth beyond even the 224G/448G systems of today. These advanced exercises will require not only electrical modeling and channel simulation expertise but also optical channel simulation experience using co-simulation and IBIS-AMI models for optical components.

Within the ADT team, you will be expected to independently drive component/channel evaluations and complete other R&D activities. Simultaneously, one will also be expected to collaborate within a cross-functional team of mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers to develop highly novel and advanced new product portfolios. As a Principal Engineer within the ADT team, you will be the subject matter expert for electrical and optical Signal Integrity.

Responsibilities;
- Subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities during advanced product development
- Establishing signal integrity design performance/functional requirements for advanced products
- Driving advanced product development
- Complete R&D activities for improving Signal Integrity analysis methods
- Complete R&D studies into new signals and system architectures for higher speeds and densities
- Complete electrical, optical, and electro-optical channel simulation studies
- Develop interconnect IP portfolio for future systems and products
- Engaging in innovative simulation and test tool improvement and process enhancement
- Driving best practices and efficiency in connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint
- Being a mentor and teacher to other contributing engineers across all development and manufacturing disciplines. Writes and presents papers at internal and external conferences.
 
応募資格 Required Skills/Experience;
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree highly recommended
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in signal integrity engineering or related roles
- Experience with interconnect design or experience with connector &/or cable/cable assembly design (high speed twinax cables, direct attach copper (DAC) cables), &/or RF antenna, RF sub-system
- Signal integrity analysis tools (Ansys Circuit Designer, Ansys HFSS, etc.)
- A solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior
- Understanding of optical component models and co-simulation for electro-optical channel simulations
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data to identify issues and provide solutions to fix identified problem. SixSigma methodologies or other strong data analytics background a PLUS.
- Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly. Proficient in Altium a PLUS.
- Experience in project leadership, especially as it applies across design, development & manufacturing teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a global environment - able to accommodate varying time zones, fluent in English (verbal/written), able to collaborate with individuals across geographies
- Direct customer design and support experience, and ability to travel as needed
- Ability to, and experience with, teaching and training peers in applying software tools and methodologies, and in the use of electrical test equipment, including VNA’s and TDR’s
- Highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently

Recommended Skills/Experience;
- Printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly (Altium, AutoCAD)
- Test equipment (oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, BERT)
- Communication systems and architecture knowledge (high-speed servers, switches, routers, storage)
- Signal conditioning techniques (equalization, amplification)
- Connector and cable assembly, antenna, and RF hardware (RF interface to baseband) design
- Application and test knowledge of high-speed devices and equalization techniques a PLUS
- Design experience with high-speed servers, switches, routers, storage, antenna, RF front end or similar systems
 
待遇 【給与】
※前給・経験・能力などを十分に考慮し優遇します。
管理職:年収850万円以上 (基本給:50万円以上+諸手当+賞与)

【勤務時間】
標準労働時間:8:30~17:00 7時間45分 (昼食休憩:45分間)
フレックス勤務有り (コアタイム:11:30〜13:30)
